RDG employs the latest GIS and AutoCAD programs to maximize our analytical abilities and provide visualization for our clients. The integration of our geographic information technologies with hydraulic modeling provides an efficient process for assessing existing and proposed stream corridor conditions.
GIS provides spatial analysis and visualization for watershed assessment, water quality planning, and restoration design projects. Serving both as a component of multidisciplinary projects and as a stand-alone service. With GIS we are able to evaluate complex spatial data and intricate relationships among data. Incorporating GIS into our hydrologic analyses has provided RDG with a powerful instrument for evaluating watershed conditions and restoration potential. We utilize today's leading GIS and Remote Sensing software, including: ArcGIS-ArcView, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, and Geo-RAS.
CAD provides additional mapping services through image rectification, land survey data visualization, geo-referencing, and construction plan development. By incorporating CAD with land survey, LiDAR, hydro-acoustic and image acquisition services, we are able to deliver high quality existing ground data for large scale restoration projects. RDG currently uses both AutoCAD Civil 3D and RiverCAD for data processing and design.
Utilizing the different strengths of CAD and GIS allows RDG to customize maps and tailor to specific project needs.
